Martin Jardine

Based at Grwp Llandrillo Menai, one of the UK’s largest FE colleges, Martin and his team at the Food Technology Centre provide technical support to 200+ food businesses a year in areas such as, food safety, new product development, HACCP systems, Nutritional analysis, Graduate placements, quality management and third party accreditation for BRC Global food safety standards. 

Martin is also responsible for the Coleg Glynllifon campus, commercial farm and woodland. The site extends to 300 hectares and provides learners with an opportunity to gain a range of skills linked to countryside management, forestry, engineering, animal care and agricultural studies. Martin is an experienced project manager and has successfully delivered multi million pound projects including Interreg, Objective One, RDP, A4B and KTP programmes. Martin co-wrote the strategic business plan for project HELIX which is a flexible knowledge transfer programme designed specifically to support the food manufacturing industry in Wales. To date project HELIX has had an impact of £180 Million.
