Tru is a multi-award winning creative entrepreneur, personal brand coach and publicity expert. Tru has over 15 years in enterprise, the arts and events, and is very passionate about supporting the next generation of entrepreneurs to get visible and build their personal brands.

Tru is passionate about building the creative entrepreneur community and is therefore the Founder of the Creative Entrepreneurs Podcast, Clubhouse Club which has reached 20,000 members and Facebook group where entrepreneurs can share and network with like minded people.

In addition, Tru is the Creative & Events Director for Aston Performing Arts Academy, a community interest organisation that exists to empower young people through performing and creative arts. Since the organisation’s inception in 2004, the company has impacted the lives of over 3000 young people in the Midlands.

Tru is also a Business Partner in the UK’s first children’s pamper salon Kandy Girl offering pampering experiences for young kids aged 3-16 and is also a visiting lecturer for University College Birmingham.

Tru is a Trustee for Creative Academies, a Board Member for West Midlands Regional Tourism Board, Birmingham Hippodrome and a NED for TAG Network Midlands and Creative Academies Network. 

Tru has a passionate belief in championing the cause of equality, justice and freedom of speech. He believes there should be a true representation of all communities irrespective of race, gender, religion, sexuality, age or class. More recently, Tru has been doing a lot of work around race relations, specifically being anti racist.  

When Tru is not working on his multiple businesses or speaking at events, or being a visiting lecture at multiple universities, you can catch him on the nation’s favourite breakfast TV programme, Good Morning Britain as he has become a regular commentator on the show. 

Over the years Tru has been awarded with numerous accolades for enterprise and his contribution to the arts. In 2014 he was recognised as one of Birmingham’s most inspirational young leaders and in 2018 was crowned Birmingham’s Young Professional of the Year – Marketing and Communications. In addition Tru also won both the Phoenix and Natwest Entrepreneur Awards as ‘Entrepreneur of the Year 2018′ and in 2019 was crowned the Future Face of Entrepreneurship awarded by the Greater Birmingham Chamber of Commerce.
