The winner of the Scale-Up award for The North region at the 2017 NatWest Great British Entrepreneur Awards has been named among the top three fastest growing tech businesses in The North.
The annual Northern Tech 100 League Table placed The Car Buying Group, led by founder Tom Marley, as the company with the third fastest growth, making it second-placed for e-commerce businesses.
Based in Bradford and Wakefield, The Car Buying Group was launched in 2014. It provides a fair, fast and hassle-free way to sell a car online. Requiring only a few basic pieces of vehicle information, a car’s valuation is provided instantly to the customer searching their website.
Founder of The Car Buying Group, Tom Marley, said: “We’re delighted to be named in the top three for the north’s fastest growing technology businesses and it is great to have our fantastic growth to date recognised once again on the Northern Tech 100 League Table.
“Since we started the business we have demonstrated consistent revenue growth and continued to develop our leading valuation technology which is enabling us to deliver a hassle-free way to sell cars online. We look forward to further building on our success to date in what promises to be an exciting 2018 for The Car Buying Group.”
Vicki Shiel, head of content and learning at Tech Nation said: “For The Car Buying Group to go from taking the number one spot in 2017 to third in 2018 is an amazing achievement – to be in the top five out of 100 companies two years running is proof this company is growing at a remarkable rate.”
