Hey Girls is an award-winning ‘buy one, donate one’ social enterprise, producing environmentally-friendly period products that fund the fight to end period poverty in the UK and Australia.
A multi-million-pound Scottish community interest company, Hey Girls was initially established in 2018 by Celia Hodson and her two daughters Kate and Bec as a kitchen table start up after experiencing period poverty themselves.
With 21 employees, Hey Girls has grown into a global operation with dispatch teams in Mussleburgh, Scotland Diss, Norfolk and Sydney, Australia. The company is proud to be multi award winning and have celebrity supporters including Michael Sheen (Pads4Dads campaign) and Caitlin Moran (Give a Cup a Go campaign).
Since it launched, Hey Girls has donated over 19 million environmentally-friendly period products to those in need through a network of 150 community partner organisations such as food banks, homeless shelters, mother and baby groups and women’s refuges. Its aims are three-fold; to help eradicate period poverty in the UK, enable better access to quality period products for all and to dispel the many myths that surround periods.
