Sir Philip Green has revealed he has received “several approaches” to buy department store BHS.

BHS is currently owned by Sir Philip’s Arcadia Group, which also owns brands like Burton, Topshop and Topman, Dorothy Perkins and Miss Selfridge.

BHS has struggled in recent years, posting a loss of £69.6m in 2013.

And Sir Philip Green has admitted that he is considering the “several approaches”.

An Arcardia spokesperson said: “We have had several approaches on BHS over the past few months. It is now the company’s plan to explore whether any of these can be brought to a conclusion.”

Sir Philip bought BHS in 2000 from Storehouse for £200m.
