US stock markets hit record levels yesterday (Monday), with the Dow Jones and S&P 500 indexes closing at all-time highs.
The Nasdaq market also closed at a 15-year high. The tech-heavy index closed at 5,008.10 on Monday. It's the first time since it has closed above the 5,000 mark since 15 March 2000 during the dot com boom.
The Dow Jones index rose 155.93 points to close at the record 18,288.63. And the S&P 500 was up 12.89 points to 2,117.39.
