‘Mumpreneur’ founder of Cupcake family based London clubs and cafes, Karen Hastings, has received investment from the UK’s first female investors club, Addidi Business Angels.
“I am delighted that we are part of the new club expansion of Cupcake Mum. Karen impressed us with the brand that she has built, and the ability to grow her chain of clubs. As angels, we are all looking forward to supporting her and helping her to succeed,” Anna Sofat, founder of Addidi Business Angels.
Addidi was founded by a group of female entrepreneurs responding to the fact that just 5% of angel investors in the country.
Currently contributing some £130 billion turnover to the UK economy, the Federation of Small Businesses is encouraging government to learn from the US by encouraging female entrepreneurship in order to stimulate the economy.
