Susan Perry of London's Entrepreneurs’ Club has stressed the importance of the UK's entrepreneurial community following the launch of the Great British Entrepreneur Awards.

Perry, who has spent the last 13 years working with growing businesses, private investors and enthusiastic start ups, believes the economy is dependent on entrepreneurs to drive it forward.

"The entrepreneurial community is what drives the economy forward and without a new inflow of ideas and new businesses and growth within exisitng businesses then the economy is never going to recover," she said.

The Great British Entrepreneur Awards will be held during Global Entrepreneurship week - taking place in London, 19th November 2013.

The awards will celebrate all areas of entrepreneurship and enterprise, including a variety of categories for entrepreneurs, enterprise, and champions of entrepreneurs. The prestigious awards will include; Entrepreneur of the Year, Enterprise City of the Year and Business TV show of the Year.

Perry, whose association with the Entrepreneurs' Club gives her a unique insight into what it takes to be a successful entrepreneur, said that the underlying quality of the best entrepreneurs isn their desire to succeed.

"I think you need the spark and enthusiasm, as well as the drive to keep going until you get to where you want to be, no matter what," she added.
