The majority of people in the UK are in favour of remaining part of the European Union (EU), according to Pew Research Center.
Fifty-five per cent of those surveyed were in support of staying in the EU, up 9 percentage points from two years ago.
Pew said EU support was 46% in 2013 and 50% last year.
The survey found that 36% want the UK to leave the EU, down from 46% in 2013. The younger generation are most supportive to the EU, with 69% of those aged 18-29 saying they want the UK to stay in. The over 50s however are most sceptical.
