Mission Ventures is on the hunt for brand owners passionate about addressing this growing challenge. In return we will be providing a package of business support as well as access to a share of £1.8m of working capital from The Good Food Fund.
They are recruiting UK-based SME and start-up brands that are challenging incumbent food businesses and committed to making healthier food accessible to all consumers.
Successful brands will have access to a free twelve month Accelerator package of 1:1 business support, and will be eligible to apply for equity or debt funding from a share of the £1.8m from The Good Food Fund. Mission Ventures' intensive MissionMap programme will deliver a targeted review of every element of participating business to ensure their business model and proposition is fully optimised.
The brands first step is to apply to Mission Ventures online and, following initial screening, they will be back in touch with them to advise next steps for their application.
The Good Food Fund aims to deliver market-led solutions to one of the biggest challenges facing the nation's health.As part of the Fund, Mission Ventures will recruit and support businesses bringing healthier products to market by delivering a 12 month personalised Accelerator programme.
Successful businesses will be eligible to apply for their share of the £1.8m The Good Food Fund managed by Ascension Ventures.The Mission Ventures programme will be delivered by our experienced team – ; Paddy Willis, co- founder of Plum Baby; John Stapleton, co-founder of New Covent Garden Soup Co and Little Dish, and Nigel Parrott, co-founder of Ape Snacks.
The Good Food Fund is managed by Ascension Ventures, an entrepreneur-backing capital market company. The funds for this programme are being supplied by Big Society Capital (BSC) and Guys & St Thomas’s Charity (GSTC).
