The Lulz Security hacking network behind a series of high profile distributed denial of service attacks on corporate websites, has struck again.

This time the target was The Sun newspaper- a part of Murdoch’s print empire. The paper had previously attracted the irk of the hackers, by publishing an article frequently describing them as ‘geeks’ and ‘nerds’.

The hack involved redirecting visitors to the website to an article informing visitors that Rupert Murdoch has been found dead in his garden.

Lulz Sec has not issued a press release about the attack as they had with the CIA and FBI attacks, but had alluded to it via their twitter account- #LulzSec.
