Sixteen budding social entrepreneurs from 14 countries around the world will be jetting into London on 8th March to undertake the biggest challenge of their lives as they compete in the finals of the Your Big Year Challenge, with the winner being unveiled at the Global Entrepreneurship Congress in Liverpool on Thursday 15th March.

The 16 finalists will be presented to the media at a special reception on Thursday 8th March in London when they will meet Deputy Liberal Democrat leader, Rt Hon Simon Hughes MP , who will give an address on the importance of entrepreneurism for social mobility. The finalists will then undertake five days of challenges, including meeting Sir Richard Branson and other keynote speakers at GEC, as they battle for the opportunity to win Your Big Year 2012.

Your Big Year, which attracted over 60,000 applicants from 221 countries, gives young entrepreneurs from around the world the chance to win a unique year long placement, meeting global leaders and captains of industry while working on a series of Corporate Social Responsibility projects on six continents.

Your Big Year was founded by Chris Arnold, a successful entrepreneur who is now dedicating his time and resources to empowering youngsters from around the world to be able to follow their dreams and make a positive impact on the world.
