The Duchess of Cambridge has given birth to a Princess.

The royal baby was born at 08:34am.

The Duke and Duchess arrived at the Lindo Wing of St. Mary's Hospital in London at 6 am.

Kensington Palace said the Queen, the Duke of Edinburgh, the Prince of Wales, Duchess of Cornwall and Prince Harry have been informed and are delighted with the news.

Shortly after releasing a statement, Kensington Palace made the announcement via Twitter.

The news of the first Princess of Cambridge for 180 years is expected to provide a huge boost to the UK economy.

Prince George added roughly £400 million the economy, but the Princess is anticipated to bring even more revenue to British businesses.
