The Nasdaq stock index closed at a record high on Wednesday.
The tech-heavy US stock market rose 73.84 points to close at the all-time high of 5106.59, 15 points above the previous record.
Market experts said that tech firms were boosted by growing signs that Greece will not default on its debts.
The other US markets saw more modest gains on Wednesday. The Dow Jones was up 0.7% to 18,162.99, and the S&P 500 was up nearly 20 points to 2,123.48.
In Japan, the Nikkei 225 index rose for a 10th consecutive session - it's longest run of growth since 1998. Shares were up 0.4% on Wedenesday at 20,551.46. It needs four more days of increases to beat the previous record of 13 days, set in February 1998.
