Lupton Fawcett Lee & Priestley and Denison Till, two of Yorkshire's leading law firms, have confirmed that they will hold merger talks.
Both of the law firms are dedicated to the region's mid-market and it is hoped the combination of the two firms will create a stronger platform.
"The Denison Till team have built a tremendous and high quality law firm serving the vibrant York and wider North and East Yorkshire markets. Combining our two businesses will create a tremendous platform to jointly better serve that market," Lupton Fawcett Lee & Priestley's managing director, Richard Marshall, said.
Denison Till’s managing partner Jonathan Cripwell said that the prospect of a merger provides an exciting opportunity for both firms.
"The prospect of a merger with Lupton Fawcett Lee & Priestley is a very exciting opportunity and would provide us with a stronger platform from which to serve our clients with a greater depth and range of services. We are also excited at the prospect of working with Lupton Fawcett Lee & Priestley to develop a wider regional offering," Cripwell said.
