The International Festival for Business (IFB) has confirmed London Stock Exchange, one of the world’s largest and the most international exchanges, as an official event supporter.
As part of their support, London Stock Exchange will be hosting ‘Clinic in a Box’ during next year’s festival, where delegates will have the chance to receive invaluable one-on-one business advice from London Stock Exchange executives.
London Stock Exchange has particular interest in the Creative, Digital, Technology, Clean Tech and Low Carbon industries, which form the basis of some of the key themes of the Festival. This, along with the international nature of London Stock Exchange, makes it a fitting partner for the IFB, as both organisations aim to create, maintain and grow business links across the globe.
Taking place in June & July 2014, IFB will comprise of more than 100 world-class events and will form a central part of the UK government’s goal of rebalancing the economy and doubling British exports by 2020. IFB’s focus on the ambitious British SME community will give London Stock Exchange the perfect opportunity to showcase it’s wide range of support and practical services to equip businesses with the tools they need to grow and expand nationally and on a global scale.
Set to attract more than 250,000 visitors from across the globe, the Festival will run for 50 days of events, exhibitions and celebrations, in order to realise the potential of global economic growth.
Leading figures from British business, alongside some of the UK’s most inspiring entrepreneurs, have pledged their support to the Festival and become official IFB Ambassadors. Former Tesco CEO Sir Terry Leahy and CBI Director General John Cridland, stand alongside entrepreneurs including Sara Murray OBE, founder of Confused.com & Buddi, and Ed Wray, co-founder of Betfair, to support the Festival.
IFB will focus on key areas of commerce that are transforming the business landscape of Britain and beyond including manufacturing, science & technology; maritime, logistics & energy; knowledge, professional & financial services; higher & further education & research; low carbon & renewables; cities, enterprise & urban business; knowledge, creative & digital.
