The International Festival for Business in Liverpool, which closed this week, generated over £250 million for the UK economy in just three weeks.

26,000 people attended 80 IFB events during the three-week period at Exhibition Centre Liverpool.

With numerous multi-million pound deals signed at the Festival, the overall benefit to the UK economy estimated to reach £265m.

Bob Prattey, chief executive of The ACC Liverpool Group, said: “IFB2016 was the largest event we have hosted in Exhibition Centre Liverpool since we opened our doors in September. For three weeks the venue was transformed into a hub for exhibitions, seminars, networking events and inspirational speakers – the scale of which has never been seen in Liverpool, or indeed the UK, before.”

The International Festival for Business is due to return, in Liverpool, in 2018.
