After careful reticence on the part of the BBC, the announcement of the new multimillionaire panellist on the widely popular entrepreneurial programme, Dragon's Den, has finally been announced.

The new panellist will replace James Caan who announced his departure last month, in order to focus on his recruitment company and his charity The James Caan Foundation.

The BBC, keeping their cards close to their chest, had been building up a palpable suspense with messages like the following posted the @BBCDragonsDen Twitter shortly before 11am this morning:
“To all our loyal followers, we just wanted to let you know that an announcement is imminent for our #newdragon. Watch this space....”

Hilary Devey, the 56 year old pallet distribution mogul known for her appearance on Channel 4’s ‘Secret Millionaire’ as well as for her patronage of The Prince’s Trust and other charitable organisations, has been confirmed as Caan’s successor. She will join the panel at later this year when the new series returns to BBC 2.
