Research commissioned by Ambius, the world’s largest interior landscaping company, has revealed that Sir Richard Branson is the nation’s favourite British business personality, beating Sir Alan Sugar and Simon Cowell to the top spot.
Ambius, conducted research amongst 2,000 UK adults, which revealed almost a quarter (24%) voted Branson as their favourite business personality. In second place with (10%) was Sir Alan Sugar, Simon Cowell took the third spot (7%), followed by Sir James Dyson (6%) and Peter Jones (4%).
Businesses are increasingly bringing greenery into their office environments to improve air quality, productivity and workplace health. In celebration of this trend, Ambius commissioned ‘The Covent Garden Academy of Flowers’ to create a unique piece of artwork. The portrait of Sir Richard Branson was designed by talented artist Cedric Ang and consists solely of flowers and plants, including Eucalyptus Cinerea, Kochia Scoparia and Haworthia.
Scott Friday, Operations Director at Ambius said: “Bringing plants into offices and getting employees to personalise their workspace with greenery can make people more productive at work. Studies have shown plants in a business environment can improve well-being and make people feel happier at work.”
Ang, who completed the project with the assistance of the whole team at The Covent Garden Academy of Flowers commented: “We very much hope Sir Richard will be pleased with the final image. His cheeks are made from eucalyptus and he has a sweet-smelling, rosemary beard.”
