Digital innovator, I Spy Marketing, develops iPhone app to furnish senior marketers with Google Analytics on-the-move

I Spy has developed a bespoke iPhone app to deliver on-the-go user stats to digital marketers. The app has been created as a way of enhancing I Spy’s promise to provide fully transparent ROI alongside cutting-edge conversion and analytics optimisation.

I Spy is a Google conversion partner agency so the app has been based on Google Analytics (GA). I Spy Marketing’s app marks the first time a UK agency of its kind has launched its own iPhone app. The ‘I Spy GA app’ will be freely available through iTunes.

The I Spy GA app was beta-tested by some of I Spy Marketing’s clients. Gary Robinson, Marketing Manager at Jobsite.co.uk, said: “I’ve been searching for a paid analytics app for a while and as soon as I found out I Spy Marketing was developing its own, I knew that would be the one to go for. Its simple interface makes it an ideal solution for receiving realtime analytics data when you’re on the move.”

I Spy’s CTO, Harry Doyle said: “Obviously this is partly a branding exercise, but more than that, it’s a way of genuinely helping our clients — and anyone involved in digital marketing, for that matter — to see how their sites are performing and improve ROI. We feel our combination of zero price point and industry knowledge will ensure the app will become the clear winner for Google Analytics consumers on the move.”

The app’s design is inspired by GA’s interface, but modified for the iPhone to deliver real time data in a convenient and phone-friendly way. Offering a sub-set of GA functionality, it concentrates on the most-used reports. Users log in to their GA account to access the app’s focus point: the report data dashboard, showing one dimension per line (e.g. visits, page views, goal conversions) and flexible date ranges. Detailed views will be varyingly presented according to the type of data, using everything from bar to pie charts. Some reports will allow the user to drill down further. Users also have the ability to personalise their dashboards through a configuration screen.
