Today (24 Sept) is 'Go Home on Time Day', a day set up by the Working Families charity to encourage Britain's workforce to, you guessed it, go home on time.
Working Families wanted to raise awareness of how our work lives are increasingly impacting on our family lives.
Less than half of parents leave work on time every day and 9% admitting to never leaving work on time, according to a survey conducted by Working Families earlier this year.
Seventy percent of those surveyed said their workload made them feel pressured into staying, while more than half said it was part of the company's culture. Highlighting the problems caused in the family life by leaving work late, a quarter said the two were in "constant conflict".
