The FTSE 100 continued to lose ground in early trading on Thursday.

The index fell 1% on Wednesday and there were further falls on Thursday. The FTSE 100 dropped 11.18 points at 6,935.10 in early trading, a month after rising to record highs.

British Airways owner IAG Group fell 3.5% despite posting its first ever Q1 profits.

The Royal Bank of Scotland's share price fell 2.7% after it reported a loss of £446 million after more than £800m was set aside for "litigation and conduct charges" and more than £400m was spent on restructuring costs.
