Members of Facebook and Twitter are a step closer to having the two forms of social media connected.
Facebook have confirmed they are presently working on a feature that will link user's status with their Twitter account, although no exact date as to when this would be possible was disclosed.
Previously this had only been possible from Facebook pages designed for bands, public figures and businesses, but that is all set to change.
This follows an announcement on the Facebook blog detailing changes to its 'subscription' system, which is in essence the same as following someone on Twitter.
This new feature will change the dynamic of Facebook, which previously had only been focused on the connections of friends and groups, where as now people will be able top subscribe to anyone's activities.
Many suspect the feature that links profiles to Twitter will be formally unveiled at Facebook's F8 developers conference which starts on 22 September.
