A recent survey of registered attendees to the inaugural Digital Marketing Show (www.digitalmarketingshow.co.uk), taking place in November at Excel, indicated that a whopping 96% intend to spend more on digital marketing in 2014 than they have this year.
With over three months still to go until the show the organisers are finalising the show’s content, which is set to feature over 150 speakers and 100 exhibitors. The survey was carried out to double-check that the seminar programme was on track to deliver.
While businesses that were ‘born digital’ - such as Amazon, Google, and Facebook and technology companies such as Apple, Dell, and Microsoft - are leading the way in digital marketing, to survive businesses of all sizes need to be ‘Digitally Competitive’.
This is reflected in the diversity of organisations that have already signed up to visit the show, from Marketing Directors of multinational companies to CEOs of fast growing businesses.
“Our mission is to help mainstream UK businesses compete in a digital world,” Nick James, producer of The Digital Marketing Show said.
“One of the interesting points that has come out of this survey is that less than a third of our visitors attend other events of this type. With digital moving at such a fast pace there is obviously an appetite for information and advice, and Excel in November is the place to be.”
The survey also illustrated that a show of this type attracts everyone from the ‘digital newbie’ to the seasoned expert.
“You can’t possibly be an expert in all things digital,” said James. “Even if by some miracle you knew everything there was to know about digital marketing, by the time you woke up the next morning things would have changed because digital never sleeps.
“The concept for the show is to provide seminars, workshops and presentations that will then sign-post visitors to exhibitors and partners from our exhibitor base. In that way there can be more meaningful conversations between informed buyers and vendors.”
The Digital Marketing Show will attract over 10,000 visitors who are looking for ideas, information, advice and inspiration in the new ‘always on’ connected world.
The Digital Marketing Show is taking place at Excel from 26-28th November 2013 and is free to attend for visitors www.digitalmarketingshow.co.uk.
