Deutsche Bank is considering moving its British divisions to Germany if the UK decides to leave the EU.
The bank said a "working group" has been set up to review the possibility, but stressed "early days and no decisions have been made" yet.
Deutsche Bank employs around 9,000 people in the UK.
The government will hold an in-out referendum on the UK's membership with the EU by the end of 2017.
Deutsche Bank is the first bank to suggest its intentions, if the UK were to exit the EU.
