Organisations around the UK and EU are struggling to comply with the upcoming General Data Protection Regulation due to a lack of support from board members.

A study by IT service firm Calligo found that 69% of board-level executives are neglecting GDPR, which is becoming enforceable in May 2018.

This lack of interest at the top level comes despite more than six out of ten (62%) respondents agreeing that the new regulation would affect the profitability of their business, including 19% who said the impact would be negative.

This trend puts companies at significant risk of sanctions that could threaten their business operations.

GDPR Summit London is an event dedicated to providing support to companies as they tackle the task of regulatory compliance.
