Apple's newest product received approximately 957,000 preorders on Friday, although this is well short of some estimates for 2015 sales.

Analysts’ estimates for the first year of sales for the wearable device are as high as 60m for 2015.

72% of the product's purchasers had bought an Apple product in the past two years, although some of these sales were possibly made due the device’s iPhone requirement. The majority of customers favored the larger of the two case sizes and the Apple Watch Sport. Preorders will begin shipping in April.
