Despite economic uncertainty, candidates are continuing to battle for the best career opportunities, with many conducting their job search with a strict set of priorities in mind, according to new research.
Job site CV-Library found that 82% of workers would be willing to take a pay cut if it meant landing their dream job.
The survey asked 2,000 workers to share their career priorities and sacrifices they would be prepared to make in order to secure their ideal job. A clear route for career progression came in at the top of the list, with a staggering 73.3% advising that development and progression was important when considering a new job.
Nearly 55% said they would be influenced by workplace perks and benefits, while just over half (52%) said the job title itself would be a important factor.
Just under a third (32%) said they would be more likely to accept a role if the word 'manager' was in the title. But 54% said they would not relocate for a job.
