Its aim is to fit seamlessly with customers, allowing them to focus on other core aspects of their business while they take care of co-packing, warehousing, and fulfilment requirements.

Origins
In 2015, the founders saw an opportunity within the organic superfood sector and Complete Co-Packing Services was set up initially for the packing of organic powders and dried foods before then expanding into other markets. One of the main obstacles it faced in the first few years was setting up a facility which offered the top standards of food safety with clean rooms. All staff also needed to be provided with relevant food safety training and the facility had to have all of the correct quality accreditations.
Success Factor
The organic growth was a main contributor to the growth of CCPS and its main clients were within the organic superfood sector. The business work closely with the Soil Association who assisted in this growth. In 2019, the business opened a brand new 69,500sq ft facility which is designed to BRC standard, which opened many opportunities and enabled the business to work with retailers and bigger brands. At the same time, it took on a sales and marketing specialist to help fill the new factory and raise its profile as more and more companies are now looking to outsource their packing rather than invest in their own factories and equipment.
The Future
To enable further growth in the next five years, CCPS will be investing in automation. Investing in automatic filling lines will mean higher throughputs and lower cost which is more appealing for clients. It will also be purchasing an additional building to grow its storage and fulfilment side of the business as well as further investment in stock systems and warehouse management systems.
