128% GROWTH BETWEEN 2019 AND 2021
Origins
Whilst clients are actually the insurance companies themselves, the goal is to look after the policyholders who are often left vulnerable without the use of their hearing aids as replacing a lost or damaged hearing aid was a drawn out and often stressful process. There was no replacement service available in the UK and so the founders were inspired to contact insurance companies and put together a solution that would benefit both the companies and their policyholders. The main challenges in the first few years included gaining access to the key decision-makers within the insurance companies; creating IT systems that were compatible with the requirements of its clients; and developing the advanced protocols and procedures required by some of the UKs largest insurance companies.
Success Factor
Countrywide Hearing’s rapid growth has been created from providing a solution that wasn’t available elsewhere and continuing to develop its offering in line with customers’ needs. Also, Countrywide’s people have been one of the key success factors and the business has been fortunate to be able to work with extremely resourceful, creative and innovative people who have totally engaged in its vision to be the market leader in the sector. They put a huge amount of effort into attention to detail, visiting and revisiting the claims process to ensure the offering cannot be rivalled by any competitor. Where larger companies may find it challenging to change their processes, Countrywide Hearing’s ethos has been to provide an ever-evolving system, so that clients’ preferences shape its operations. This agility has been a key factor in the company’s success, but has also allowed us to adapt to the challenges following Covid-19.
The Future
During the next five years, the business intends to continue growing through working more closely with clients and looking into other areas for growth.
