Origins
Connectec’s founders came from a security installation background where they had first-hand experience of having to use multiple suppliers to complete each project. Also, it was apparent that many suppliers lacked the technical knowledge necessary to guide an installer through a difficult installation. Connectec was set up to help installers that needed a supplier that could offer convenience, advice and support all in one place. Starting a distribution company without any major investment was a real challenge and meant working long hours and resulted in many sleepless nights in the early years.
