Paramount is a fast growth phenomenon, committed to setting new standards in fitting out commercial and residential premises

Commitment to delivering inspiring workspaces, and ambition to expand nationally. Paramount is a privately-owned management contractor that has been trading for over 30 years, specialising in build, refurbishment and fitting out of commercial and residential premises for a range of private and public sector clients. Working across the whole of Wales and the South West, and increasingly the rest of the UK, Paramount undertakes projects on a design and build or traditional contracting basis and has developed a reputation for setting new standards in design and fit-out of inspiring workspaces that help motivate employees and embrace well-being.

Origins

Having worked at the sharp end of delivering for clients since joining Paramount in 2008 as a project manager, Richard Jones became managing director in 2017 and has developed a crucial understanding of what it takes for Paramount to prosper. This centres upon the importance Richard places on winning trust through forging strong, collaborative working relationships, relentless attention to detail, pre-empting issues and helping avoid nasty surprises with an almost prescient approach to planning.

Success Factor

Undoubtedly the pandemic had gruelling effects, but it also helped Paramount to realise the importance of the workplace and how it has such an impact on well-being and collaboration. It has seen tremendous growth in delivering magnetic workspaces with employee wellness and flexibility at the forefront. The firm’s range has expanded over the thirty years and the business offers a turnkey fit out, refurbishment and design solution, creating places where people want to be. Finally, the breadth and depth of the in-house talent (many of whom have been with Paramount for over 10 years) is second to none and it’s something the business is very proud of.

The Future

There are big plans for Paramount over the next five years. Not only has it just opened a new destination workplace in the heart of Bristol, but it is looking to significantly expand its presence within South West England and nationally. It will also be developing the construction arm of the business, utilising its in-house expertise, and securing national projects. Alongside this, it will be actively seeking residential build projects to further its portfolio.

In partnership with UBS, the world’s leading global wealth manager, this year, Fast Growth 50 will rank the companies based on turnover growth in eight nations and regions across the UK.
