The Great British Entrepreneur Awards is delighted to announce Vodafone as a new premium partner.
Helping to celebrate the achievements of leading entrepreneurs and small businesses across the UK, Vodafone will be the lead sponsor of this year’s GBEA Disruptor of the Year award, presented to the business which is best able to demonstrate a tenacious and innovative spirit.
Up to 50 businesses across the UK will be in the running for this year’s Disruptor of the Year award, with eight winners being selected from each region of the UK.
Vodafone will also be providing support to the Great British Entrepreneur Awards community of entrepreneurs and business leaders by offering free educational resources via its V-Hub digital business support platform. Launched last year, the V-Hub platform provides essential tips and guidance for SMEs to help their business thrive online – whether just setting up a website, building a customer base through digital marketing, or protecting your business from cyber-threats, there’s something for business owners at every stage of their journey.
Now in its ninth year, the Great British Entrepreneur Awards acknowledges the hard work and inspiring stories of entrepreneurs and businesses in the United Kingdom. This year’s finals will be taking place on the 22nd November at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London.
Francesca James, founder of the Great British Entrepreneur Awards, said: “I am absolutely delighted to welcome the team at Vodafone to the Great British Entrepreneur Awards. They have shown us incredible passion and dedication in supporting businesses and entrepreneurs to thrive in their endeavours. I look forward to the year ahead as we work together towards our shared mission of championing entrepreneurship.”
Andrew Stevens, head of small business at Vodafone UK, said: “We’re proud to be partnering with the Great British Entrepreneur Awards as they share our passion in supporting the business people that are the backbone of our society.
“There is no doubt that this is the year of the disruptive entrepreneur. In the face of many unforeseeable challenges, small business owners have continued to react positively, and it’s incredible to see that the number of small businesses has actually grown this year. Together with the Great British Entrepreneur Awards, we look forward to celebrating the people behind these businesses as we continue to emerge out of pandemic Britain.”
As part of its commitment to supporting entrepreneurs across the UK, Vodafone also launched ‘business.connected’, a new initiative in partnership with small business support network Enterprise Nation, providing free, expert, digital training to help boost knowledge, confidence, and skills among SME leaders in order to help them get the best out of their online business.
