The Jolly Hog

Max Kohn

Max is one of the Co-founders of The Jolly Hog, a meat business started in 2008 by three brothers. An ex-ship broker, Max gave up his job in the city to chase the sausage dream.

The Jolly Hog started by the 3 brothers making sausages in the kitchen and then selling them at venues like The Oval and Twickenham Stoop. In 2015, the brand got its first listing in Ocado and now The Jolly Hog sausages, bacon and other meat products can be found in major supermarkets across the UK. They also have a restaurant in Bristol called Pigsty which is where they bring their retail range to life and develop new products to launch into the market.

The Jolly Hog was the first UK meat brand to become a B Corp, a certification meaning that companies meet high standards of social and environmental performance, transparency, and accountability.

Max works across all areas of The Jolly Hog business but specifically focusing on the commercial arm of the business.
