Paul has experience working as an engineer and inventor and working as a patent engineer in-house. As a result, he is able to relate to inventors well and can understand commercial considerations. He holds a first class MEng degree in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Liverpool. During his third year, he studied at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champagne in the USA.
Paul works with large multinational companies, as well as SMEs, start-ups, universities, and sole inventors. He has experience of subject-matter including engineering, electronics, and computer-implemented inventions. His particular focus is artificial intelligence applications.
Outside of his core work, Paul is an Examiner for one of the qualifying exams required to become a Chartered (UK) patent attorney and he also tutors candidates.
