Tech entrepreneur Paul Hallett co-founded Vet-AI with experienced veterinarians Robert Dawson and Sarah Warren in 2017. Leeds-headquartered Vet-AI is an R&D company developing solutions that focus on supporting pets, vets and pet parents.Having secured major investment worth £12.6 million, Paul is leading the Vet-AI team to innovate and disrupt the vet-tech industry.

The business now employs more than 100 people worldwide and has significant partnerships with companies including Animal Friends Insurance. The company’s flagship brand is Joii Pet Care. Built by a team of experts with cutting-edge, bespoke technology, Joii Pet Care is an artificial intelligence app revolutionising the UK and global vet market.

Joii Pet Care allows pet parents to diagnose and receive recommended treatment for pets from the comfort of their home. Since launching, the Joii Pet Care team has supported over 250,000 pets.Starting his entrepreneurial journey working on a market stall aged 12, Paul has always had a passion for business.

After graduating from The University of Leeds in 2001, he set up a marketing business which exceeded a turnover of £1.8 million in just 18 months.In 2012 Paul moved into consultancy, before working at board-level with several start-ups, supporting fellow entrepreneurs with business growth.

In 2014 he started to work more in med-tech at a senior level, partnering with leading businessman Richard Mills and Ash Patel of Babylon Health, to build ‘Sleep Cogni’, a med-tech device that helps people sleep.
