Alison-Loveday

Alison Loveday has developed her career over 20 years in business development, leadership training and entrepreneurship, with experience in political liaison.

As Programme Manager for ‘Unlocking Ambition’ – a £4m flagship entrepreneurial development initiative – Alison’s focus is on creating and driving delivery of a brand-new and disruptive approach to supporting Scotland’s most ambitious and purpose-driven entrepreneurs.

In her former role leading Account Team Development for Scottish Enterprise -Scotland’s main economic development agency – she harnessed her intrapreneurial talents to implement a large-scale leadership and consultancy skills programme for business consultants and specialist financial, digital and innovation advisers.

Her previous experience also includes:

  • Creating the award-winning Business Able programme – supporting entrepreneurs with disabilities into self-employment
  • Leading strategic partnerships as Programme Manager of the Glasgow Economic Commission, the early Glasgow City Deal
  • Working as part of the Glasgow Economic Leadership Executive Group – where Alison focused on bringing the city’s higher and further education institutions together to provide self-employment education to undergraduates.
  • Chairing the Inverclyde Economic Development Group and Chair of the ExpoRen initiative with Scottish Development International, local colleges and Chambers – joining up exporting support services for local firms

Alison is a proud graduate of the University of Glasgow and recently achieved the Institute of Leadership & Management qualification in Coaching & Mentoring.

She has also been awarded a Postgraduate Certificate in Corporate Communications & Public Affairs with Distinction by Robert Gordon’s University.  She also leads a team of volunteer chaplains, creatively supporting staff and students in one of Scotland’s largest High Schools.
