The amazing thing about Integrated Live is that there really are so many amazing people giving the best advice out there in the marketing world. Even as someone working on the event, I spend my days in the run-up looking at which presentations I really want to see. I can’t imagine what it’s like for you!
That’s why we’re spending the next few weeks doing quickfire interviews with as many of the speakers as we can to give you a little insight into who they are, what they do and what they’re going to be talking about at Integrated Live.
Today’s interview is with Leon Emirali, co-founder of media marketing agency, Crest.
What area of marketing do you specialise in?
We’re a full service agency, but our speciality is in helping our clients use the media as a sales tool.
How long have you been with the company?
Crest was founded towards the end of 2015.
How long have you been in marketing?
I’ve been working in marketing for around half a decade now.
Why do you do what you do?
To help clients sell things. Everyone has something to sell; a product, a service, an idea or a world view. I take great pleasure in helping them achieve that.
Which marketing platform do you use the most (and it can’t be your own!)?
Influencer marketing is becoming an increasingly effective marketing tool as consumers are starting to become weary of advertising.
If you could only use one marketing platform for the rest of your life, what would it be (and you can’t use your own!)?
Facebook. Ok, it’s no longer cool and sexy. But everyone is on it.
What is your favourite thing about marketing?
The ability to take a narrative and turn it into something that resonates with the masses and can tap into a whole host of emotions.
Is content still king? Nope. Context trumps content every day!
In a sentence, what’s your presentation about? Breaking the myths of the PR industry, coverage alone doesn’t sell.
You can find Leon’s presentation on myths of PR in the Engagement & Experiential Theatre at 11:30am at Integrated Live on 17 November, but you’ll have to register for your free ticket first:
