The London Assembly will tomorrow question the Mayor Boris Johnson about how his proposed budget for 2011/12 will affect key services for Londoners.

The Assembly’s Budget and Performance Committee will ask the Mayor about the likely effect of an estimated nine percent drop in government grants for the Greater London Authority group.

The Committee will also question how he hopes to maintain public confidence in policing with a reduced budget and the split of transport funding between passengers and central government.

The Budget and Performance Committee meeting will take place from 11am on Tuesday, 11 January in Committee Room 5 at City Hall (The Queen’s Walk, London SE1).

Media and members of the public are invited to attend.
