X in the City (XTC) is a brand new action, urban and extreme sports event. Set to be the UK's most entertaining, interactive and dynamic extreme sports event ever, XTC will provide a chance for everyone to experience extreme sports.

Taking place in the heart of London's Docklands over the October half term (Oct 22-24 2010), XTC will be a unique gathering of over 20 alternative action sports, including skateboarding, BMX, in-line skating and even ultimate frisbee and jet ski. The concept brings to life a world that, for many, is only ever seen on TV or on YouTube videos.

The event is partnering with over 20 leading extreme sports associations and will see 25-30,000 visitors walk through its doors over a 3 day period. Alongside demos from leading professionals, the event will see a host of exhibitors showcasing the latest in extreme sports equipment, as well as the entertainment spectacular the 'Theatre of Xtremes'.

Association partners include; the 'British Elastic Rope Sports Association', the Jetski Racing Association', the 'UK Gravity Sports Association', the 'UK Freestyle Skaters Association', 'UK Ultimate', the 'International Mountain Biking Association', 'Uniwake', the 'All Terrain Boarding Association', 'Parkour UK' and the 'UK Slalom Skateboard Association'. The associations will provide visitors a live, 'hands-on' experience of their sport through exciting and informative demos, as well as areas for everyone to "have a go" for themselves.

As well as these demos, there will be over 200 exhibitors, so visitors will be able to check out, try on and buy the latest kit, accessories and fashion.

The highlight is the 'Theatre of Xtremes', a unique and awe-inspiring display of skill and daring featuring a world-class line-up of professional extreme sports performers including UK, European and World champions. From a range of action sports they will entertain in front of crowds in a 3,000 all-seater auditorium.

Aimed at 'weekend warriors', 'urban explorers', fans and families, X in the City will be the hottest ticket in town this Winter.
