Metro Bank have announced the appointment of Chris Brindley as Managing Director, Regional Banking.

This appointment comes as Metro Bank prepares to open their tenth store in Hounslow, and as plans are finalised for stores in High Wycombe, Watford, Ealing, Chiswick, Reading, Staines, Epsom and Hemel Hempstead in 2012.

Chris joins the business to lead and manage store growth as Metro Bank grows from 10 to 20 stores by the end of 2012. Chris will report directly into Craig Donaldson, Chief Executive.

Chris is an experienced sales and customer service individual, he spent twenty years within the RBS Group in sales and customer services roles where he ultimately held the position of Managing Director, NatWest North Region. In this role Chris held responsibility for over 400 retail outlets and 3,500 staff.

Chris is a multi awarded employee, winning Sales and Marketing Director of the year 2006, 2007 and 2008 by the British Excellence Sales and Marketing Awards. His Region was awarded the Most Outstanding Workplace at the National Business Awards. In 2009 Chris won Sales Leader of the Year at the National Sales Awards, and led teams to success at the National Customer Service Awards in 2004 and 2008. In addition, in 2008 Chris was awarded “Britain’s Best Boss” by the Working Families Association.
