The fortunes of high street video games retailer, GAME, have taken a turn for the worse, with the group’s board this morning announcing they are ceasing trading of securities on the London Stock Exchange under LSE: GMG.L.
This follows an announcement earlier this month that GAME’s suppliers were no longer stocking releases amidst concerns about the retailer’s ability to pay.
“The Board now considers itself to be unable to assess the business's financial position, and is of the opinion that there is no equity value left in the Group,” comments the group’s board. “Therefore the Company has requested that the listing of its securities on the Main Market of London Stock Exchange plc be suspended from trading with effect from 7:30am today.”
