Dixons Retail have reported a drop in their sales over the Christmas period.
The company who owns Currys and PC World said like-for-like sales fell 5% in the 12 weeks to 7 January, although analysts had expected a larger drop.
Like-for-like sales in the UK and Ireland, excluding new store openings, were down by 7%.
Chief executive John Browett tried to remain positive about the figures, saying they represented a "solid performance" with consumer confidence still "fragile".
