Following the Spanish's governments decision to sell short-term debt on Tuesday's financial markets the cost of borrowing in Spain has risen sharply.

This move came following the change of government at Sunday's general elections.

Spain raised 2.98 billion euros ($4bn, £2.6bn) in an auction of three- and six-month bills, the first fund-raising since the change in government.
