Barclays Corporate has played host to players from Saracens as part of the club’s Player Development Programme which offers team members support in their personal and professional development and provides them with skills and interests outside the world of sport.

Scrum half Neil de Kock and flanker Justin Melck, spent two days with the Barclays corporate banking teams in the London and St. Albans.

“I thoroughly enjoyed the day and learnt a lot in a short time, particularly from being able to go out and meet clients and see how Barclays Corporate manages its relationships,” said Neil.

The players worked alongside the Relationship Directors responsible for managing Barclays day-to-day banking relationships with mid-to-large corporates in London and the Eastern region.

Ian Rand, Chief Operating Officer, Coverage, Barclays Corporate said; “It was great to have Neil and Justin with the team and to not only share our experiences with them but to understand some of the challenges they face in their own discipline — we learnt just as much from them as they did from us”.
