Every month, the Great British Entrepreneurs Awards and its partner, Glen Scotia Single Malt Whisky, celebrates a member of the GBEA community who has shown incredible entrepreneurial spirit.

For their efforts, they’ll be sent bottles of classic Double Cask and Victoriana single malt Scotch whiskies.

And we’re delighted to announce that September’s winners are Rimi and Manav Thapar, co-founders of LoveRaw!

Earlier this month, LoveRaw announced that it had secured a listing with SPAR to sell its Cre&m® Wafer bar collection, Peanut Butter Cups and Cookie Dough Butter Cups in stores right across the UK.

That announcement came just two months after LoveRaw also revealed a listing with ASDA to sell its M:lk® Choc Cre&m® Wafer bars in more than 380+ ASDA supermarkets in the UK.

Rimi launched LoveRaw in 2013 after she unexpectedly lost her father and reevaluated what was important – eating and living well becoming a priority for her. Joined by her husband Manav, they created the first confectionery brand to produce 100% vegan chocolate that tastes like ‘chocolate chocolate’.

Frustrated by the lack of healthier or plant-based chocolate on the market, Rimi set out to solve a problem, transferring her passion for eating well to creating her own 100% vegan products, using only natural ingredients with no artificial ingredients, no palm oil, no dairy and “no compromise”.

The pair were named Great British Entrepreneurs of the Year and Family Business Entrepreneurs of the Year in the North West at the Great British Entrepreneur Awards in 2020.

Iain McAlister, distillery manager at Glen Scotia Single Malt Scotch Whisky, said: “It’s always a pleasure to see quality products and hard work being recognised. At Glen Scotia we celebrate those who, as we do, bring unique and diverse products to the market. Congratulations to Rimi and Manav on their well-deserved award win.”
