 Our Story

JournoLink founders

JournoLink is an interactive platform enabling you to manage your own PR and send out your business stories to journalists, broadcasters and bloggers.

The JournoLink idea was sparked by Father and Daughter duo, Peter Ibbetson and Gemma Guise, along with long-time friend and broadcast journalist Tet Kofi.

After working in a large PR agency Gemma came to question why small businesses weren’t gaining any coverage. After raising the subject with Peter and Tet they began to realise that small businesses could not afford the agencies retainer fees and didn’t know, or have the time, to do PR themselves.

From this they saw a gap in the market to help small business owners achieve their own PR.

By combining Peter’s background in small business banking and media training with Gemma’s experience in beauty PR and Tet’s knowledge of the media, they came up with the idea of an affordable and easy-to-use platform.

A platform that would help businesses wanting to get media coverage by supporting them with when to send stories, who to, what their stories should look like, and then distributing their stories to relevant media and track who is looking at them.

And at the same time help journalists, bloggers and broadcasters find businesses, and enable them to ask in real time, for their comments, quotes and spokespeople.

JournoLink has grown from an idea on the back of a napkin to a successful online platform used by over 3000 small businesses and 6000 journalists, bloggers and broadcasters.
