Covid-19 has challenged businesses of all shapes and sizes. In a short space of time, business leaders have been forced to adapt to the abnormal and rethink their plans and strategies, while still driving growth. The pressure is unprecedented.
Personio is one business that’s remained resilient and even grown during this turbulent time. Ben will offer advice for other ambitious companies on how to flex and fuel growth as we tiptoe towards the ‘new normal’ – whatever that will be.
As part of this, he’ll discuss the importance of:
- Maintaining your customer base: it’s essential for businesses to keep their current customer base. With some businesses affected more than others, leaders must identify those that are struggling the most and proactively seek to understand and meet their new needs.
- Investing in new customers: it’s hard to give things away for free when times are tricky, but offering complimentary access to elements of a product or service will help those whose cash flow has been impacted, whilst strengthening these relationships in the long run.
- Pivoting your approach: last year’s offer might be meaningless to this year’s customers. Businesses must build features that are relevant for today, even if that means discarding previous plans
- Protecting your people: you can’t tackle a crisis without your most important asset: your employees – so ensure you keep your team productive and motivated whilst working remotely.
With numerous businesses reopening across the UK, and many struggling to adapt and find opportunity amidst the uncertainty, I hope to inspire leaders and provide useful guidance to help them rethink their strategies in the upcoming months.
