Amazon has unveiled a device which allows customers to order household items in an attempt to attract more home goods buyers.

Customers will be able to attach the Amazon Dash Button to a product, and press it to place an order when they need more.

Some of the items shown in examples are dishwasher tablets, razors, coffee pods and skincare products.

The service will only be available to Amazon Prime customers. Prime Now offers one-hour delivery on essential daily items and is being trialed in four US cities.

You may be forgiven for thinking this is an April Fools joke, but Amazon unveiled the Dash Button yesterday. So this is serious!
