Workplace computers should be given annual healthchecks to ensure they run at optimum speed, according to PCs specialists The TechGuys.Tim Friars, a spokesman from the company, suggested that businesses could save money by maintaining the PCs they have, as opposed to trading them in every two years."It's about cleaning up the operating system of the PC, it's about diagnosing what’s wrong with it and it's about enhancing the memory," he explained.Mr Friars also pointed out that slow PCs can frustrate employees and create a stressful environment.A recent study by the TechGuys revealed that one in five people had hit their desks in anger over the speed of their PC.It also emerged that two in five people spend at least 30 hours per year waiting for their computer to boot-up, open a file or load a web page.
